Tansui 淡水 means 'fresh water' in Japanese. This reflects the artistic design of the blade 67-layer Damascus, and the turquoise blue handle. The blade is original in Japan with VG10 stainless steel. It features a high carbon content for exceptional hardness and wear resistance, high chromium for excellent corrosion resistance, and additions of cobalt and molybdenum for improved toughness and a finer microstructure.
